John Dee Holeman is a North Carolina born bluesman who practices the Piedmont style. While his buckdancer days are past, he still has a way with his guitar and breaks into the occasional hambone routine.


Holeman is a 1988 NEA National Heritage Fellow and received the North Carolina Folk Heritage Award in 1994. He played Pamlico Opry
