Hugh Martin Sterling was one of my favorite people ever (as was his wife Liz). Hugh lived at the foot of Washington, NC’s Main Street for most of his life. He was born there during the Great Storm in 1914. He fished a small area just down river of the rail trestle. Crabs, eels, and fish beware.
